President Taye meets Catholic leaders to discuss support for farmers and pastoralists

Addis Ababa, October 16, 2025 (FMC) — The President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Taye Atske-Selassie, met with Cardinal Berhaneyesus Souraphiel, a prelate of the Ethiopian Catholic Church, and Sean Callahan, President and CEO of Catholic Relief Services (CRS).

On the occasion, President Taye expressed appreciation for CRS’s wide-ranging support in enhancing the resilience of farmers and pastoralists.

He also reaffirmed the Ethiopian Government’s continued support for initiatives aimed at strengthening the livelihoods and resilience of communities across the country, according to the Office of the President of Ethiopia.
