Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Arrives in South West Ethiopia Region
Addis Ababa, January 17, 2026 (FMC) — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, accompanied by First Lady Zinash Tayachew, has arrived in the Southwest Ethiopia People’s Regional State this morning, the Office of the Prime Minister confirmed.
The Prime Minister and the First Lady landed at Mizan Aman Airport, which is currently under construction.
The Office of the Prime Minister has not yet disclosed further details regarding the purpose or schedule of the visit.
