UAE and Tanzanian Ministers Arrive in Addis Ababa for UN Food Systems Summit

Addis Ababa, July 27, 2025 (FMC) — High-level delegates from the United Arab Emirates and the United Republic of Tanzania have arrived in Addis Ababa to participate in the Second United Nations Food Systems Summit +4 Stocktaking Moment (UNFSS+4), set to open on Monday.

State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Berhanu Tsegaye, welcomed Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak Al Shamsi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment of the UAE, upon her arrival at Bole International Airport.

Likewise, Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania, was received by State Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Hadera Abera.

The UNFSS+4 Summit is being held to assess progress on global food systems transformation and to reaffirm international commitment to achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
