Establishing Modern, Technology-Based Systems Is Key to Efficient Service Delivery: Amhara Chief Administrator
Addis Ababa, September 28, 2025 (FMC) — Amhara Regional State Chief Administrator Arega Kebede emphasized that the government is undertaking comprehensive measures to improve service delivery, highlighting that the establishment of modern, technology-driven systems is pivotal to achieving this goal.
The Mesob One-Stop Service Center was officially inaugurated today in Bahir Dar City, Amhara Region, with the participation of Chief Administrator Arega Kebede, Minister of Planning and Development Fitsum Assefa, and other senior government officials.
Addressing the inauguration, Chief Administrator Arega Kebede underscored the importance of modern, technology-based systems in ensuring seamless and efficient public service delivery.
He recalled the concerted efforts made to bring the one-stop service center to the region, noting that following its rapid completion by the regional government, the Mesob One-Stop Service Center is now fully operational at the regional level.
“The one-stop service center will save time and labor, promote fairness and accountability, and streamline trade and investment processes,” he stated.
Minister of Planning and Development Fitsum Assefa, for her part, reaffirmed the government’s ongoing commitment to modernizing and accelerating service delivery across public institutions.
“Concerted efforts are underway to establish an efficient and sustainable service delivery system nationwide,” the Minister said. “The Mesob One-Stop Service Center exemplifies the government’s initiatives to enhance service provision and is being replicated across the country.”
She further highlighted that various initiatives are being implemented to modernize and improve efficiency in government services, affirming the government’s determination to intensify such efforts in the future.
The Mesob One-Stop Service Center, initially inaugurated in April 2025 by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, is designed to transform public service delivery in Ethiopia by offering integrated, efficient, and transparent services to citizens.
