PM Abiy Presides Over Opening Ceremony of Aviation Expo 2026

Addis Ababa, January 23, 2026 (FMC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and First Lady Zinash Tayachew officially attended the opening ceremony of the Aviation Expo 2026, held as part of the Ethiopian Air Force’s 90th anniversary celebrations (ETAF90), the Office of the Prime Minister disclosed.

Organized under the theme “Flying Forward, Building a Shared Future,” the Expo highlights Ethiopia’s commitment to advancing aviation and aerospace development.

According to the PM Office, the event also emphasizes the country’s efforts to strengthen international partnerships, promote skills development, and position Ethiopia as a regional and continental hub for innovation and sustainable growth in the aviation sector.
