Ethiopia, International Crisis Group Discuss Regional Stability, Sudan Peace Efforts

Addis Ababa, September 24, 2026 (FMC) — Ethiopia’s Prime Minister’s Advisor on East African Affairs Getachew Reda held talks with Comfort Ero, President and CEO of the International Crisis Group (ICG), on the margins of the High-Level Week of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The two sides exchanged views on current national and regional peace and security issues, with particular focus on Ethiopia’s role in promoting peace and stability in the region.

Their discussion also addressed Ethiopia’s contribution to ongoing efforts to advance peace and stability in Sudan.
