Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Arrives in Djibouti for Joint Economic Project Announcement

Addis Ababa, September 24, 2026 (FMC) — Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has arrived in Djibouti today, where he was welcomed by Djiboutian President Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, the Office of the Prime Minister of Ethiopia announced.

The two leaders are set to preside over the announcement of a joint project aimed at strengthening economic ties between Ethiopia and Djibouti.

The joint initiative is expected to further advance the longstanding economic partnership between the two neighboring countries and reinforce cooperation in the Horn of Africa.
