Addis Ababa, October 30, 2026 (FMC) — INTERPOL Secretary General Valdecy Urquiza has arrived in Addis Ababa for an official working visit aimed at strengthening cooperation between Ethiopia’s law enforcement institutions and the international police organization.
The delegation was received at Bole International Airport by Ethiopian Federal Police Commissioner General Demelash Gebremichael and Ethiopian Police University President Tamrat Mulugeta.

The visit is also expected to feature the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ethiopian Federal Police and the INTERPOL Global Academy, which provides professional training for law enforcement officers from INTERPOL member countries.
