Addis Ababa, April 25, 2026 (FMC) — Ethiopia’s Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Truneh on Saturday saw off President Salva Kiir Mayardit of the Republic of South Sudan following the conclusion of his two-day official working visit to Addis Ababa.
Salva Kiir Mayardit completed his visit after holding high-level engagements in Addis Ababa, including comprehensive bilateral discussions on matters of mutual interest with Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
In a social media post, Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Truneh stated that he bid farewell to the President following the successful completion of his visit to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
He noted that the visit was marked by productive engagements, including comprehensive bilateral discussions on issues of mutual interest.
According to the DPM’s social media post, the visit further deepened the bonds of friendship and partnership between Ethiopia and South Sudan, and laid a solid foundation for enhanced cooperation in the years ahead.
