Addis Ababa, October 28, 2026 (FMC) — Ethiopia has launched its official Nation Brand website, presenting the country’s historical heritage, natural resources, development initiatives and national aspirations to an international audience.
In a social media post announcing the launch, the Office of the Prime Minister said the platform would enable Ethiopia to tell its story in its own voice, highlighting the country’s origins, cultural identity, development achievements and vision for the future.
The presentation highlights Ethiopia’s place as the birthplace of coffee, its significance in the study of early human origins, and the Green Legacy Initiative, through which the country is working to restore its natural environment.
It also showcases Ethiopia’s use of renewable energy resources, including rivers, wind and sunshine, to drive development and extend electricity access beyond its borders. The post further points to the transformation of Ethiopian cities, particularly Addis Ababa, described as “Africa’s New Flower.”
The nation brand also emphasizes Ethiopia’s role in Pan-African unity, presenting the country as a gathering place for African peoples and their shared aspirations. Its ancient civilization, cultural heritage, ongoing development projects and internationally recognized athletic achievements are also featured as key elements of the country’s identity.
The launch comes as Ethiopia prepares for COP32, with the post framing the occasion as an opportunity to share the country’s sovereignty, heritage, discoveries and aspirations with the world.
The official Nation Brand website is available at Ethiopia’s official government website.
