Addis Ababa, September 9, 2026 (FMC) — Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has marked Ethiopia’s upcoming 2019 New Year by extending holiday support to employees of the Office of the Prime Minister and educational assistance to children supported by the office.
In connection with the New Year celebration, Prime Minister Abiy presented holiday gifts to employees of the Office of the Prime Minister.
He also shared educational supplies with children receiving support from the office, extending the New Year gesture beyond the workplace to support children’s educational needs.
Ethiopia will celebrate the 2019 New Year on September 11, ushering in a new year in the Ethiopian calendar.
