Addis Ababa, April 30, 2026 (FMC) – Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has reaffirmed the country’s long-term national vision following the transformation of the Arada district in Addis Ababa.
In a social media message shared this evening after overseeing the inauguration of the newly developed park in the capital, the Prime Minister stated that what was once a neglected and hazardous area has been reimagined into a “magnificent urban sanctuary.”
He emphasized that Ethiopia is not merely a dream to be envisioned, but a reality to be built.
According to the Prime Minister, ongoing national efforts are focused on building a country that is healthy, resilient, and full of promise for future generations, while also positioning Ethiopia as a leader in Africa and a strong competitor on the global stage.
He further noted that each day reflects continued progress in turning this national vision into reality.
