EBRF Denounces Warmongering “Tsimdo” Faction as Regional Threat, Calls for Unified Resistance

Addis Ababa, August 7, 2026 (FMC) — The Eritrean Blue Revolution Front (EBRF) has stated that all stakeholders must stand united to oppose and resist the illegal, rootless faction styling itself as “Tsimdo”.

The front, established to struggle against the dictatorial regime in Eritrea, issued a statement regarding current regional developments.

In its declaration, the EBRF emphasized that the activities of the illegal group known as “Tsimdo” pose a direct threat to the entire region, requiring robust and unified resistance from all quarters.

Noting its deep-rooted connection to the Eritrean public, the front declared that it categorically rejects the war-obsessed “Tsimdo” faction, stressing that its primary objective is to prevent and neutralize the group’s destructive trajectory.

Highlighting that the Eritrean people have paid an immense price through past conflicts and neither desire nor benefit from further warfare, the front pointed out that its focus remains anchored on bringing sustainable solutions to existing challenges.

However, the statement warned that “Tsimdo” continues to promote a militaristic agenda, forcibly conscripting and abducting youths from their families—actions that represent a grave danger to the people of Tigray and Eritrea, as well as the wider region.

Consequently, the front urged all parties to collectively combat this baseless faction, while also shedding light on the broader political and socio-economic crises prevailing inside Eritrea.

Over the past three decades under the incumbent dictatorial regime, Eritreans have endured severe trials, effectively being forced to live as stateless citizens within their own homeland, the statement noted.

Compelled by extreme poverty resulting from tyrannical governance, countless citizens have been forced to flee and live as refugees abroad.

The EBRF was founded precisely to reverse this profound public suffering, with its core mission focused on dismantling the dictatorial system through struggle and establishing a truly popular government.

Reaffirming its steadfast commitment to steering the nation toward a democratic transition, the front vowed to work vigorously to break through the long-standing isolation imposed by the regime and usher Eritrea into an era of strengthened regional connectivity and cooperation with its neighbors.
