PM Abiy Ahmed underscores Ethiopia’s continued role in green growth & energy transition agenda

Addis Ababa, May 12, 2026 (FMC) — Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has stated that Ethiopia continues to play a key role in advancing green industrialization and energy transition on the African continent.

In a social media post following his participation at the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, the Prime Minister said he shared Ethiopia’s experiences and perspectives during a session focused on green industrialization and energy transition.

The summit, co-hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron, brought together African leaders and international partners to discuss priority development areas for the continent.

Prime Minister Abiy noted that Ethiopia remains actively engaged in efforts related to green industrialization and the broader energy transition agenda.
