In discussions with representatives from public and private media institutions, the emphasis was placed on the importance of a free, professional, and responsible press in supporting democratic governance.

The GCS stated that the government will continue supporting the growth of media entities grounded in national values, professional ethics, and the public interest.

According to the GCS, these multisectoral consultations have created a framework for identifying obstacles to peace, democratic development, and inclusive economic growth.

They have also served to align government responses with the realities and aspirations of the Ethiopian people.

The GCS further noted that all segments of society have a vital role in advancing Ethiopia toward its national vision.

It emphasized that the country’s development goals can be achieved through coordinated public participation, consensus-building, and the systematic resolution of emerging challenges.
