Addis Ababa, July 24, 2026 (FMC) β The illegal TPLF group is incapable of existing without war and power, completely lacking a democratic culture and standing firmly as an enemy of change.
The group continues to demonstrate in practice that it has zero regard for public welfare and fundamentally fails to grasp the meaning of national interest.
The Federal Government has made repeated efforts to secure lasting peace by extending open calls for dialogue and working vigorously to fulfill the needs of the people of Tigray.
Multiple efforts have been made by dispatching delegations directly to Mekelle to resolve differences through discourse and establish genuine peace.
However, this unlawful faction, which seeks to prolong its existence entirely upon public anguish and suffering, must finally be told enough is, once and for all.
The outlawed TPLF does not understand peaceful negotiation; having seized power through the barrel of a gun, it is a force that insists on achieving all its ambitions solely through armed might.
Rather than solidifying the peace achieved through the Pretoria Agreement and benefiting the public, the illegal TPLF leaves no stone unturned and spares no trick to extend its lifespan.
Casting aside the very development and good governance demands raised by the regional populace it claims to champion, the group desperately struggles only to sustain the power of a handful of individuals and factions.
The group continues to beat the drums of war by illegally rounding up youths for military conscription. It subjects citizens to profound suffering, even locking up mothers who dare to protest this forced conscription.
Furthermore, it is well known that the group has enacted draconian laws to silence regional media institutions and journalists entirely, forbidding the broadcast of any dissenting messages.
The faction has even been abducting youths directly from places of worship and schools, training them, and selling them off to external forces.
Because this illegal group is actively engaged in actions aimed at tearing the people of Tigray away from their Ethiopian brothers and sisters, every single citizen must shoulder their individual responsibility by unmasking and exposing the groupβs sinister conspiracies.
